Healthcare data is its own discipline
A strong data engineer is not automatically a strong healthcare data engineer. The work runs through HL7 feeds, FHIR APIs, claims formats and EHR data models, and it carries HIPAA obligations that change how systems get built. We screen for people who have worked inside those constraints, not around them.
Where AI fits
Hospitals and health-tech companies are past the pilot stage on AI: documentation assistance, triage, imaging, revenue cycle and operational forecasting.
